Property Tax Credit for Homeowners

 

 

A joint county-state initiative offers property tax credits for homeowners with low-to-moderate incomes and modest net worth. Starting this year (2007), there's an additional credit for homeowners age 70 and over. Just file an application with the State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT). See the letter from the County Executive for more details.
